Candle Care

A little care goes a long way when it comes to getting the most out of your candle. Follow these simple tips to help your candle burn beautifully and last longer.

Trim the Wick

Before lighting your candle (and after each burn), trim the wick to around 5mm. This helps keep the flame steady, reduces smoke, and ensures a clean, even burn.

Burn in Moderation

For the best experience, burn your candle for 2–4 hours at a time. Burning for too long can cause the wick to mushroom and may affect how the candle burns and smells.

Choose a Safe Spot

Always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface and keep it away from drafts, pets, and little hands. Never leave a candle burning unattended.

If the Flame Gets Too Big

If you notice the flame becoming too large or smoky, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool, trim the wick, and relight.

Knowing When It’s Time to Stop

Once there’s about 10mm of wax left, it’s time to stop burning. This helps protect the vessel and keeps things safe.

Candle Safety

For safe and optimal use, please follow these guidelines while your candle is lit:

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.

  • Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

  • Keep away from drafts, open windows, and flammable objects such as curtains or bedding.

  • Burn for no more than 3–4 hours at a time.

  • Keep the wax pool free from wick trimmings, matches, and debris.

  • Do not move the candle while the wax is hot or liquid.

  • Leave at least 10cm between burning candles.

Always keep the flame within sight and extinguish before leaving the room.
